1. General Rules

1.1 Duration of a Season

One season normally takes 12 weeks (beginning on the weekend after 15.1., 15.5. and 15.9.).

Between the seasons is a breather until the next season starts.

1.2 Size of the League

The CantStop-Leaugue is subdivided in Himalaya, Anden and Alpen. Each groups are linked by promotion and demotion-possibilities.

The allocation of the particular groups takes place on the basis oft he previous seasons results. A group in Himalaya contains 15 participants at most. Normally, a group in Anden contains 13 participants.

The groups in the Alpen-leagues will be organized equally, containing space for follow-ups.

1.3 League Administration

The League Administration consists of the Guild Council. In case of difficult decisions or if the Guild Council is concerned itself the Guild Council will be supported by the League Council.

All members of the League Administration can be contacted by Forum-PM under the Nickname CS-Ligaleitung.

1.4 Conditions for Participation

Each registered user who is ranked W/K 5 at least and has played at least 50 CantStop can participate in the league. Each participant declares his/her approval with the hereby set rules by participating in the league and has to observe the rules.

Noncompliance with the hereby set rules can be punished by the League Administration with deduction of points or – in bad cases – with disqualification.

Each participant has to provide the League Administration with a valid e-mail-address, which will be checked on a regular basis to assure the reach ability of the participant for the League Administration and other participants.

1.4.1 Conditions for participation in Championsleague

1.4.2 Point System Championsleague

Only in case of more then 32 registrations!

One gets points by participating in the previous season in classic and unique-league. They will be add together, if one participated in both leagues. In case of a tie the participant who was ranked higher in the classic league will be qualified (first ranking, then points, then difference, then same criteria in unique and last option choice by lot):

- Alpenleague: 20 minus standing

2. Rules of the League

2.1 General Mode

During the season the participants have to play one match against each other participant. The home field right belongs to the player who is named on the left side of the playing schedule

The playing schedules can be found here in time before the beginning of the season.

2.1.1 Mode Championsleague

The matches in the Championsleague have to be played against each other participant of the group. Each match contains a match classic and a re-match unique.

The home field right belongs to the player who is named on the left side of the playing schedule. The playing schedules can be found here in time before the beginning of the season.

The four best players of each group will reach the play-offs:

Round of sixteen (A1-B4, A2-B3, B1-A4, B2-A3, C1-D4, C2-D3, D1-C4, D2-C3): Match 7 Classic, then Match 7 Unique
Quarter Finals (Winner AF1-AF8, AF2-AF7, AF3-AF6, AF4-AF5): Match 8 Classic, then Match 8 Unique
Half Finals (Winner VF1-VF3; Winner VF2-VF4): Match 9 Classic, then Match 9 Unique
Final & Small Final: Match 10 Classic, then Match 10 Unique

In each play-off-round both scores will be added together. In case of a tie (e.g. 7:3 and 3:7) the tiebreak will be playing a single game classic immediately in the same room. The winner will reach next round. Once the winner is clear during the re-match the match can be discontinued even without agreement of the other player.

The leagues are organized by puppets. The puppets will be started each day around 7:30. If a puppet is not started, it can be started manually with /puppet start puppetname. All matches have to be played with /option result puppetname.

The names of the puppets and the result-channels are as follows:

Puppetname CSClassicLiga CSUniqueLiga CS2CLiga CSChampLiga CSChampPlay CSTeamLiga
Resultchannel CSClassicLiga CSUniqueLiga CS2CLiga CSChampLiga CSChampPlay CSTeamLiga

In case the players forget the result-option, the match has to be posted in the right thread in the CS-League-Forum:
- leaguename
- particiants
- result
- winner
e.g. Classic Liga, Himalaya, PlayerA vs.PlayerB, 4:3, winner PlayerA

After the match is finished (except for team league) both players will receive a tell from the puppet, which records the result or points out that the match was already played.

3.2 Contact Rules

The puppet notifies each participant who has set " /tell Puppetname @notify on " if an opponent whom he has to play with comes online.

If participants agree on a date for the game by tell, Email or PM they should send a copy to the league administration (Nickname: CS-Ligaleitung) to get the possibility to claim the game if it cannot be played until the end of the season.

4. Playing Time

4.1 Sign-Off

In between the first four weeks each participant can sign-off from the current season without negative consequences (1. Deadline).

A sign-off must be posted in the forum. The matches which have already been played will be taken out of the scoring. Since the player will be placed at the end of the table he will demote in any case in the next season.

4.2 Disqualification

If a participant has played less then half of the necessary games until an intermediate deadline he will be disqualified. Disqualified players are not allowed to continue the season and will be banned for at least one season. This holds for all CS-League-Tournaments.
After the ban they could sign-on again. However, they will start then in the lowest class.

As from three missing matches at the end of the season regardless of the size of the group the participant/team will be disqualified. They can sign-on again after a ban of one season and will start in the lowest class. All matches will be zeroized.

Exeptions can be made by the League Administration resp. the League Council in special cases with majority.

4.3 Penalty Points

At each deadline missing matches will get one penalty point for each missing match (1/3 of the winners points). There is no maximum of penalty points. In there are missing matches at the end of the season those penalty points will be taken into the next season. The same applies to late or wrong claims. Please don’t send emails or claims after the end of the season for they will not be accepted.

If a participant is not able to play all necessary matches for an intermediate deadline he/she could sent a PM to CS-Ligaleitung with efforts for making a date with another opponent. Those efforts should be at least one week befor the deadline.

Exeptions can be made by the League Administration resp. the League Council in special cases with majority.

4.4 Deadlines

Each season contains two intermediate deadlines. The first will be 4 weeks after the beginning of the season, the second 4 weeks later.
The numbers in the table express the necessary number of matches depending on the size oft he group (1. Deadline ¼ of the matches, 2. Deadline 2/3 of the matches).

Size 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 Champions
1. Deadline 2 2 3 3 3 3 4 50%
2. Deadline 5 6 7 7 8 9 9 all
End of season 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 Playoff

4.5 Extension

Extensions will be granted only in exceptional cases!

5. End of Season

5.1 Claims

Claims can olny be made for not-played-matches at the end oft he season. To be able to claim one has to proceed as follows:

- PM to the opponent with realistic date suggestions one week before the end of the season at the latest (don’t forget to copy the PM to CS-Ligaleitung)
- If none oft he suggested dates is suitable fort he opponent he/she hast o make other suggestions for a date by PM (don’t forget to copy the PM to CS-Ligaleitung)
- If dates are made by tell BOTH opponents have to send a copy by PM to CS-Ligaleitung
- If sufficient efforts have been made, a claim must be made by PM to CS-Ligaleitung until the last day of the season at the latest

5.2 Scoring of non-played matches at the end of the season

The scoring of non-played matches results from the efforts of both opponents:

- No efforts from both opponents: Scoring 0:0 and one penalty point for both players (to be transferred in the following season)
- Efforts from one opponent (see Point 5.1): Scoring matchnumber:0 for the claiming player and and one penalty point for the other player (to be transferred in the following season)

As from three missing matches at the end of the season regardless of the size of the group the participant/team will be disqualified. They can sign-on again after a ban of one season and will start in the lowest class. All matches will be zeroized.

5.3 Pro- and Demotion

Four players /teams will demote from each Himalaya-League. The two highest ranked players from each Anden-League will promote to Himalaya-League. The number of demoters from the Anden-Leagues depend on the number of Alpen-Leagues (normally two demoters from each Anden-League). There will be two promoters in each Alpen-League.

5.4 Re-Entry

If one has participated in a higher class and then made a break for some seasons he/she does not necessarily need to start in the lowest class in case of re-entering the CS-Leagues. However, this requires that there is a free space in the complying league through dropouts. The complying league is the league the player had been qualified for if he didn’t make a break. There won’t be bigger leagues nor additional demoters in case of a re-entry.

If more players want to re-enter the league than there are free spaces the following criteria decide:
- League for which the players have been qualified at last
- The shorter break
- Ranking in the last played season
- Choose by lot

If a participant wants to use this rule he/she has to announce it in the (De-)Registration-Thread in the Forum. In addition he/she has to name when he/she has played at last, in which class and which place he/she has made before his/her break, especially if he/she would have beem promoting or demoting.

5.5 Prize Money

There are 50 talers per participant available for the league in each tournament, but 3000 taler at the max.
Here’s a list with the percentage allocation of the prize money for Classic, Unique, 2Colors, Team:
